Built by Piggy People, for Piggy People
We started Meadow & Munch because we knew our guinea pigs deserved better than a bag of wilting supermarket lettuce.
See Our RecipesOur Story
It started, as most good things do, with a guinea pig named Parsnip. Parsnip was a fussy Abyssinian with strong opinions about coriander (pro) and rocket (absolutely not). Eleanor spent hours every week at different shops trying to find the right combination of fresh herbs and vegetables.
One evening, after Parsnip rejected yet another offering of supermarket basil, Eleanor turned to Andrew and said: "There has to be a better way." Andrew, who had been equally frustrated trying to source good timothy hay for their second pig, Turnip, agreed. With Mary's talent for putting together beautiful, balanced meals, the three of them set to work.
Six months of research, dozens of conversations with exotic vets, and many, many taste tests later (Parsnip was a tough critic), Meadow & Munch was born. A meal box service built from the ground up around what guinea pigs actually need — and what their owners actually want.
Today, we deliver to hundreds of guinea pig households across the UK. Parsnip still gets first taste of every new recipe. Turnip still prefers his hay plain. And we still believe that every piggy deserves fresh, properly sourced food.

What We Believe
The principles that guide every recipe, every box, every delivery.
Nutrition should be simple
Guinea pig owners should not need a degree in animal nutrition to feed their pets well. We do the research so you do not have to.
Fresh always wins
Dried pellets have their place, but nothing replaces the nutritional value and enrichment of fresh, varied food.
Sustainability is not optional
From our plastic-free packaging to our local farm sourcing, every decision considers the planet alongside the pig.
Every pig deserves variety
In the wild, guinea pigs forage across meadows, eating dozens of plant species. Our rotating recipes honour that instinct.
Our Sourcing
We work directly with a network of small British farms, prioritising organic and regenerative practices wherever possible. Our hay comes from Oxfordshire, our herbs from Sussex, and our seasonal vegetables from farms across the South and Midlands.
Every box is packaged in recyclable cardboard with compostable insulation. Vegetable pouches are made from plant-based materials that break down in home compost. We have eliminated plastic entirely from our supply chain.
